Careers at DTI

Vacancies will be posted here from time to time. For all positions we look for applicants who can demonstrate the ability to work off their own initiate, excellent communication skills (both human and canine) and a genuine interest in the welfare and well being of animals. Dog Trainer
You will hold qualifications and/or certification in any of the following areas: Canine Training and Behaviour, Animal Psychology, CAP, APDT, HNC CBT, COAPE or other directly related qualifications/certification. Assistant Trainer
This position is ideal for those currently studying canine training and behaviour. The assistant trainer will work with the principle trainer in all class, seminar and workshop situations. Excellent people skills are required. Knowledge of all our courses and seminars is a pre-requisite. Unfortunately, we are not looking for Assistant Trainers at present. Care Assistant
Full training will be provided for this role. If you are Qualified or attending courses related to animal care, husbandry, grooming that will be an advantage. Primary role is to care for the dogs and puppies in our day-care. You will work directly with trainers. Unfortunately, we are not looking for Care Assistants at present. Shop Assistant
We run specialist dog pet store. We stock the highest quality products. It is vital that you have an understanding of these products and the benefits they bring to owner and dog. No experience is necessary but we are looking for motivated individuals who are interested in dogs and would like to learn more. Unfortunately, we are not looking for Shop Assistants at present. Reception and Admin
You will be responsible in the areas of document filing, emails, answering the phone, diary and appointment scheduling. We are looking for individuals who have some knowledge of dogs and want to learn more. Full training will be provided. Previous reception and office work an advantage. Internship
Dog Training Ireland offers a valuable Internship to assist those wishing to pursue a career in Dog Training and Behaviour. These voluntary / work experience based positions will be advertised two � three times per year. You should be studying in the area of Canine Training and Behaviour. We can offer the practical experience you will need to complete your education. We are a progressive company with an excellent track record and therefore we select our Interns very carefully. You will learn practically in an enjoyable and state of the art training centre environment. The areas you will be expected to work and learn are as follows: Pet Dog Training and Behaviour Puppy Socialisation Agility Training All areas of husbandry Duties will include: Assistance in training class and working with the class trainer Working with dogs and puppies in the Day-care Reception duties such as admin, phone answering etc Shop duties (understanding training products etc) General maintenance such as treat preparation, water bowls, tidying and cleaning Benefits: Full training provided before you start Networking with other like minded professionals Documentation of time spent working with us and duties carried out Complementary admission to all seminars and workshops run by DTI Assistance with gaining valuable certification (APDT, CAP, CPDT) Uniform provided In return we expect a genuine commitment and a willingness to learn. Dog Training Ireland is a busy Daycare and Training facility located in Ballycoolin, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.We are currently seeking a Dog Groomer to join our team and work from our new grooming suite. Our 40 Sq meter grooming suite is kitted with bath, blaster, hand dryer, table, sink and all grooming sundries. You will be expected to have your own clippers and scissors kit. With over 100 dogs per week coming through our training classes and a busy daycare there will be no shortage of dogs needing to be groomed. You will have studied Dog grooming and gained a recognised qualification or certification. You should have confident canine handling skills combined with self-motivation.
