We provide daycare for dogs and puppies who are comfortable around other dogs and people. At Dog Training Ireland we run 'interactive' daycare. Interactive daycare means that our daycare dogs are free rather than kennelled or crated. Dogs are supervised at all times by our specialist daycare team. The daycare dogs become part of our family and they receive productive interaction to encourage and teach skills such as self-control, impulse control, social skills, bite inhibition and confidence. Up to 11 hours of work, rest and play! Daily Schedule Dogs arrive from 7.30am - 9.30am (arrival after 9.30am by special request only). Dogs are allocated their own rest area, their name is put on their door and they are allocated their drawer for all their belongings. We have two 1 hour rest periods from 11am - 12pm and 3pm - 4pm to allow the puppies to be fed and for the dogs to have a rest period as their day is long and active. Routine is important and the dogs learn to rest and settle at down times. The latest collection time is 6.30pm. During drop off and collection times we employ a strict confinement policy so as dogs are not at risk of escaping. Who can come to play? Dogs who are happy to be around other dogs. Dogs who are uncomfortable or who may react due to fear or a lack of social skills need assistance but not via daycare as we have a duty of care to keep all dogs safe both mentally and physically. Wanna see what it looks like? Here's a short video that we made Big, Small, Mixed Pedigree, Old, Young, Brown, Black, White, Spotty the prices are easy Pricing is per day, unless indicated.
We will never flood or force dogs to be around other dogs or people, if they are fearful of them. By doing so, this can create a dangerous situation for all dogs involved and can have a detrimental effect on puppy development and adult dog social skills. If your dog does not enjoy daycare we will always let you know, and we can address any concerns using our Obedience Training classes or Behaviour Clinic facilities. A few more details
