We recommend that you should crate train your dog.  In particular, crate training your puppy will speed up toilet training significantly.  Crate training taps into a puppy's natural desire to toilet away from their sleeping and eating area. By confining them to their bed area they will avoid toileting for as long as possible.  We provide crate training notes with all crates we supply, it is vital to follow these notes to ensure success.  A dog should not be crated for long periods, young puppies should only be left for a maximum of 3-4 hours.  As a dog gets older and has more bladder control they can be crated for the night. 

We like these crates because a divider can be purchased to reduce the size of the crate while the puppy is small.  This is particularly helpful with large breeds who will otherwise grow out of their puppy crates.  It is important that the puppy can stand up, lie down comfortably and turn around in their crate, any larger and they will toilet in the far corner of the crate, thus negating the reason for using a crate.

These cages are manufactured to a high standard with rounded corners for strength and safety, lower quality cage corners are spot welded which is not as strong and creates a sharp edge.
