Here are testimonials from some of our customers, and also from other animal & dog professionals. (Sometimes you will see the letters 'DTI' in the testimonials below. This stands for Dog Training Ireland.)
Michael Hatton MVB MRCVS
"I am a Veterinary Surgeon who runs four small animal veterinary hospitals in the Dublin area and am delighted to supply a reference for Lisa whom I have known and held in the highest regard for several years.
All our hospitals have liased closely with Dog Training Ireland over the past years and have found their approach to the training and behaviour issues of dogs at all times to be of the highest standard and not only to produce excellent results but very happy clients. The courses run at Dog Training Ireland are done so in a professional manner and in a pleasant environment. Indeed I am aware veterinary surgeons in all districts of Dublin send cases to Dog Training Ireland and all speak of them in very high regard. The seminars run by them are attended on a regular basis by our qualified veterinary nurses who have found them both useful and informative.
Recently a daycare service has been provided which is much appreciated by our clients."

"I've worked with DTI since it was first established and have found their trainers' professionalism, expertise, care and pure love of dogs and dog training to be of the highest order.
I first came to them as a client to train my puppy, and over the years (and several additional dogs) have enjoyed many classes (such as agility) and seminars (on managing difficult dogs, on agility, on training with visiting experts such as Dr Ian Dunbar, Dee Ganley etc). I also have greatly valued the support of DTI with my work in running Irish Cavalier Rescue.
DTI trainers have provided advice, dog assessments and guidance to me and to new owners of ICR dogs and several times their trainers have generously volunteered to foster dogs that have needed special care and support. They are particularly good at working with owners of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and they even do some very fun cavalier-only classes and events each year. I highly recommend DTI for both training and assessments."

"I've known Lisa and Tara for several years both as a client of theirs and as a fellow professional. They are dedicated, great teachers, helpful and progressive trainers. Through their up-to-date training methods they teach dogs and, more importantly, they teach the owners how to train their dogs in a happy and positive manner.
Their daycare facilities are the only one of their type that I know of in Ireland. The dogs get to socialise, play and rest in a safe, supervised and cared for environment.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dog Training Ireland for training or daycare facilities."

Lisa Dillon & Toby
"I can't say enough good things about the guys at DTI and the daycare facility. My dog, Toby has always been a nervous dog and could be quite dog
agressive around dogs he didn't know because he was so scared. Walks were a nightmare and I couldn't bring him around other dogs anywhere unless
he knew them well. I dropped him into daycare one day to see how he would cope while all the time expecting a call any minute asking me to take
him back. Instead when I called to collect him he was relaxed and running around with other dogs."

"That was just over six months ago and we have never looked back...Toby has gone from strength to strength mixing with other dogs in a much calmer way.
He still has a way to go but the difference in him is amazing. I have even been able to look after friends and families dogs when they are on holidays
and he hasn't batted an eyelid when they have come into the house. Overall he is just a much more confident and happy dog. On the days when he does
get a bit timid the guys at DTI are fantastic with him and I always feel so confident in leaving him there as I know he is in the best of hands.
They genuinely seem to care about each and every dog that comes in and treat them like they are their own dogs with a great greeting for them each
morning. I still am amazed when I see a photograph of Toby in daycare beside the other dogs or when we meet a dog and he sniffs them instead of
growling at them.
On another note, this experience has opened up a whole new area of interest for me as I have also learned so much myself in how to interact with Toby
just from talking to the guys and observing how they have helped to change Toby's behaviour...it has given me a real interest in dog behaviour and
communication just seeing the success that they have had with him and realising how much we can improve the relationships with our dogs by learning
how to understand them.
So thanks to Tara, Lisa, Laura, Michelle and Emma, you guys provide a fantastic service and one that I have always and will continue to recommend
to every dog owner I know." Read less...

Regina & Shep
"When we got the chance to write about our expeience of dog training ireland Shep and I were delighted. We have wanted to tell everyone about this
wonderful service . Shep joined our family in February 2009 . He was 10 weeks old and a very timid and scared collie pup who really was afraid of
his own shadow.!!! Well, me and shep decided that we would do something about it . We joined up for pupy socialisation classes as soon as we could .
I remember the first evening of the class. All of the other adorable pups seemed to run off and play with each other filled with confidence . Poor
Shep cried and tried as hard a he could to be invisable !! He cowered in a corner and shook !! . Anyway the girls Lisa and Laura were so great with
him and explained that he was just lacking confidence and seemed to understand Shep's behaviours straight away. They were so calm and confident with
the dogs that it made me and Shep Calm too . The girls suggested that Shep go to DOGGIE DAY CARE to learn to socialise with the other dogs and build
his confidence . I was really anxious handing over my most precious belonging the next Monday. The staff were amazing and reassured me. They even were
so understanding when I called an hour after I had left him to see how he was doing!" Read more...
"Well that is almost a year ago. Shep is now an amazing, confident , social, beautiful collie. He is a firmly establised member of the Doggie Day Care
family and I really mean it when I say he bounds in and does not look back in the mornings when I leave him . He enjoys it so much that I feel
guilty on the days I dont bring him even though he is never left home alone . His attendance "at school" has gone from 3 days to close to 5 days
as he just looks so pleadingly at me in the mornings to take him. I have told the girls that they can never close down and that I would pay 1,000
euro a day to give Shep the enjoyment he gets from Daycare. Shep is lying here at my feet as I write this and is really tired and content after
his busy day in day care. Shep and I have also completed a number of courses and again have REALLY enjoyed them. So much so that I am constantly
checking the site for the next one we can do. We have big plans for next year and hope to continue our obedience training , do some clicker training
and Shep really wants to do agility . We may as well move in !!
Hang on whats that Shep ??? Sorry, Shep wants the last bark and wants me to tell how wonderful the staff are in Dog Training Ireland and wants to
thank them for the world of difference they have made in his life so far , oh and he hopes that they will be around to share in his life as he grows
( woof woof )." Read less...

"I really just want to say thank you for all your hard work and care you have put into looking after Lola. From when she first came to DTI for puppy
socialization at just 11 weeks, to her weekly daycare (at now 11 months old). She has grown to be such a lovely girl with a great personality, which
I feel is down to you guys. As well as the day to day care, you are always there for any little question we might have, your knowledge has been a great
help."

Dr. Ursula Keane & Dilis
"DTI has been a real find for me! My first contact with them was when Tara came to my house to do a puppy hour with me and my Bichon Dilis. As a first time dog owner I had done a lot of research prior to getting Dilis but was very nervous when he arrived as it wasn't until then that I truly realised that my life would never be the same again. I was now responsible for another life; Dilis would depend on me for all his needs. Would I be a fit mother or would the doggy social services be after me?? Tara put my mind at rest, she gave me lots of practical advice and her calm confidence was very reassuring. We made it through our first few weeks and my kitchen floor was washed more often than ever before." Read more...
"When Dilis was vaccinated we went to puppy socialisation classes at DTI together. This was great fun and I began to realise that Dilis was quite an independent little fellow and that maybe I wasn't such a failure after all. Being an only dog, and as he enjoyed playing with his new friends so much, I decided to enrol Dilis in day care as soon as it opened. He took to it straight away. From the first he went in happily without a backward glance. So much for all my worrying!
Our next hurdle was obedience level 1 which we took not long after starting in day care. The staff at DTI guided us through all the basic commands that we would need to enjoy a safe life together. I was very happy with the reward based approach as I would have been very indignant with anyone who would punish my precious baby! Dilis was by no means the star of the class but he did his best - unfortunately the same could not be said about me and I have to admit that I have not been very consistent with him at home so I am currently thinking about repeating this class before moving on to try obedience level 2.
Dilis continues to attend Day Care where I know he is safe and well taken care of. Tara, Lisa and all the staff at DTI really understand and love dogs and are very perceptive at picking up any changes in a dog that working parents don't always notice. Dilis has a very good nature and I believe that the constant interaction with other dogs has contributed to this. He certainly enjoys attending as much as ever, so much so, that I sometimes wonder whether he wants to come home with me in the evenings. I have to admit to occasional little pangs of jealousy when I see how much he loves his carers! DTI has been a reassuring and supportive companion to me in my journey into dog motherhood over the past eighteen months and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any prospective or current dog parents." "We thought long and hard about getting our little man Charlie and prior to us making the decision to have a dog you were there with excellent advice and guidance, making it easy for us. Day Care provides piece of mind for us everyday and we know when we collect our dogs or they are picked up by the doggie taxi (jodie, another angel) that they have had the best day and if they could speak they would tell us so many exciting stories about their day at "school", who they played with, what the learned and who they met.
Being a dog owner is a privilege, its a gift and our little ones deserve training, exercise, socialisation, companionship, rewards and affection, Dog Training Ireland delivers this in spades along with customer service that is outstanding.
Thank you sincerely for what you do at Dog Training Ireland. We have learned so much as dog owners and our dogs and us as dog owners are developing and learning everyday thanks to you all. I could speak more highly of Dog Training Ireland, each staff member are so dedicated and LOVE the dogs. They know each one so well and the dogs love them back.
Thank you from 2 more than satisfied dogs and 2 more than satisfied dog owners." Read less...
